Sports Team

Yearlong: Semesters 1 and 2

Tuesday and Thursday

The sports team elective will focus primarily on the following team sports: flag football, basketball, and volleyball. No previous experience is required. To be in this class, you must join our middle school after school team for Volleyball/Flag Football, Basketball, and Soccer. You must join at least 2 of the teams. Additional practice outside of elective time will be required on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This class will be used to teach strategy (press vs. soft coverage, individual vs. zone, etc.) and plays (motion, stack, etc.) and will not solely focus on scrimmaging. Students who show a grasp of the curriculum (routes, motion offense, screens, bumps, sets, etc) will be given priority for playtime against other schools. Students who are not in the elective may still join an after school team, but will need to catch up on a lot.
